For me, drawing has always been a window into the world.

Therefore, it’s natural that graphic facilitation has made its way into Tofubox's service offering.

Graphic facilitation is a lively and really fun way to make sometimes abstract concepts visible. It is a method of “visual thinking”: it is a way of grasping, thinking, and processing information from the collective using images, diagrams, diagrams, and other visual elements.

I listen to all the group's ideas, I draw them to make the ideas of all stakeholders visible and meaningful.

The advantages

  • Allows you to make connections
  • Makes it tangible on paper
  • Positive impact of the image
  • Universal symbols
  • Facilitates group thinking
  • Versatile and fun
  • Easy for broadcasting
  • Shareable support

I am sharing two examples where it has improved the participants' experience.

Vaudreuil-Dorion's intergenerational tool

The objective of the annual meeting of the intergenerational unit organized by the City of Vaudreuil-Dorion was to create links between stakeholders and organizations. I was invited to participate on this day to illustrate, with the metaphor of glasses, a giant illustration that brought together all the ideas and visions of the participants during the exchanges and activities throughout the day as part of the 3rd Quebec intergenerational week.

The result made it possible to extract a common tool, a poster designed and printed for the participating organizations, continuing the metaphor of the common vision of this group.

The result made it possible to extract a common tool, a poster document designed and printed for the participating organizations, continuing the metaphor of community pooling.

ELABOR workshops

Thanks to the Social Economy Center of the Vallée-du-Haut-Saint-Laurent and led by Célia Corriveau, the Élabor workshops allow developers to set up a social economy project that meets a community need and whose relevance is validated with the target audience.

Élabor wanted to create, develop and offer its own tools and support dashboards for the participants in their cohorts. For this mandate, I therefore used my pencils to create the various dashboards Élabor used during the workshops so that the participants could use them to define their projects and stick post-it notes with their ideas.

CLSC Huntingdon

Led by Célia Corriveau, this meeting brought together all the stakeholders in the field working with young people. The objective: develop a youth table and have coherence in the vision and future actions.

‍At the invitation of Célia, I accompanied her by offering a metaphor to gather the fruits of her mobilization activities for the creation of the Youth Table of the Haut-Saint-Laurent Valley.

So I designed a table with a kitchen environment in order to seat all the stakeholders around the symbolic table. Each organization selected a chair model (from a choice of 24 models of various styles and colors) to identify themselves.

Each speaker wrote their ideas on post-its and came to put them everywhere on the elements of the poster decor.

Then, we did a job of consolidating the ideas, grouping, sorting and choosing what seemed most relevant to meet the objective.

A final dashboard was created so that everyone could see at a glance the mission, vision, values, target audience, needs, stakeholders, etc.
